Affiliate Disclosure (The Calm, Clear Version)
Short version: Some links on Bytes of Us are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
Why we use affiliate links
Running Bytes of Us takes time (writing, testing, creating, updating). Affiliate links help fund the work so we can keep publishing cozy guides and freebies.
Where you'll see disclosures
We disclose affiliate relationships:
- near the top of posts that contain affiliate links ("Heads up...")
- near recommendation sections when it makes sense
- on this page, for clarity
Sponsored content + gifted items
Sometimes brands may:
- send a product sample, or
- pay for a sponsored placement, or
- invite us into a paid partnership
When that happens:
- we label it clearly (sponsored / paid partnership / gifted)
- we keep our honest opinion
- we still apply our Cozy Standards (we can say no, and we do)
Discount codes
If we share a discount code, it may be:
- a general public code, or
- an affiliate/partner code that earns us commission
We will label it clearly.
A note about cookies
Affiliate links often work by using tracking parameters and cookies on the retailer's website. Those third-party sites control their own cookies and policies.
